Currently for sale

Heckel bassoon #5907. This instrument was purchased, I've been told by the owner's son, thru Hans Moennig in 1929, and was replated and the finish patched at Mr. Moennig's shop a number of years ago. (The father later went to Curtis Institute and studied w/Walter Guetter.) The silver plating is in excellent condition, it has new solid silver water tubes (E and D) which I installed, the bottom of the unlined boot has been replaced, and it is excellent condition. Very nice, open sound, good scale, with excellent characteristic Heckel response in all registers. It has a high D key, no rollers, GEWA case, Altieri case cover, #1 and #3 prewar bocals, with the option of several other postwar bocals. $21,000.00.

Other instruments may also be available from time to time; please call me for further information.
